Tim Eyte first came to Baqueira in the 2002/2003 season as a chalet instructor for Ski Miquel holidays.
Since then the ski school has grown with the help of
Tim's wife Annette, and Phil and Sofia Tysoe.
|
Tim has skied since an early age when his father sold skiing holidays.
Tim's father leased a chalet in Bareges with Ski Miquel in the 1980's so Tim has a passion for skiing in the Pyrenees.
During the summer he runs a landscape gardening business
(www.cuttingedgesussex.co.uk) and occasionally works part time at
Knockhatch adventure centre dry ski slope.
Tim is passionate about his skiing and his laid back attitude often helps to relax his clients.
When the lessons are over it's time for the deep stuff!!

Annette came to Baqueira in 2003, and knows the resort inside out
as she was the Ski Miquel resort manager for the 05/06 and 06/07 seasons.
In the summer Annette teaches English at a foreign language school
and handles the accounts for Tim's landscaping. She is also a busy mum
and is renowned for her bubbly enthusiasm for teaching and her crazy Irish anecdotes!! |
Phil has been skiing for over 20 years and is now a skiing fanatic.
He often goes for pre-season training courses with his wife Sofia before
arriving in Baqueira at the beginning of January for the season.
Clients often comment on his outstanding patience and he loves to
improve techniques often with amazing results for his class.

Sofia is Portuguese and lives in Lisbon during the Summer.
Amazingly, Sofia can speak Portuguese, Spanish and English fluently
and can also speak a good level of French and German.
Her energy and enthusiasm for the sport inspire her class
and she loves to "carve-it up" down the 'Mirador' piste at the end of the day. |
Dave joins us this season after a few years working in Scandinavia. He enjoys teaching all levels and ages. He visited Baquiera some years ago,
loved the resort and always vowed he would come back! He also teaches English as a Foreign Language in the summer.

Occasionally we use other instructors to boost the team during busy periods. They include
David Tapley (left), Oli Townson (centre), Rob Lister (right).
